Love Like Jesus Loved
It's amazing to see the church come around and support each other.
Last night was hard showering and just getting overly worn out simply getting ready for bed after the shower. Again, the morning started rough, and I had my 6 month check up with my dermatologist since I had some low level skin cancer last year. I got teary eyed telling the nurse how much pain I'm still having 5 weeks later and that the surgeon can't tell me how much longer it'll last. I cried on the way home ( sorry, Joel)... It wasn't horrible pain, but some more, and I was just basically tired of it all! But on a bright note, a friend was coming over in the afternoon. Thankfully, I had time to take a nap before she came and had put on the lidocaine patches I didn't put on until after seeing the doctor. At least that tells me they make a difference.
When my sweet friend arrived, I was doing better and it was just so sweet to spend some quality time with my friend again. She also encouraged me about my need to rest and not feel guilty. She brought a card and a super soft sweater for me As she said, it was from several friends who wanted me to feel their hug when I put it on, and to remember they are praying for me. So, thank you, you know if you were a part of this sweet gift! I do know I'm loved and prayed over, which is so important as I continue on this cross country race. I prefer sprints, but, not this time. It's beautiful to see the body of Christ live and love as He did and He desires. I know our house is out of the way from almost everyone at church, so I appreciate my friends sacrifice to come over to encourage me, and bearing gifts, no less. 💗 What a lovely way to improve my day!
