New Plan

I had a rough early morning with my pain getting out of control. The good thing is Dr. Rubeiz came in this morning. He is the super good and kind Pulmonologist who did my biopsy. He is taking over my care and changing things up... He said we will not drain the fluid, unless it gets too big and causes more breathing issues. He said the body wants to fill that area, and it will keep coming back, and we could cause other issues if we keep poking into that area to drain it. The goal now is pain management. He is switching up some meds. Hopefully, the nurses follow along.

Dr. Rubeiz reiterated how difficult the surgery was, and we can't expect me to improve quickly. A lot of important things were messed with inside. I'm supposed to walk, rest, and manage pain, & NOT do things like dishes or laundry until the end of the year... 😳He said I just need to make it through each month, knowing the next month be a little better, and then by the new year, it will be a thing in the past, perhaps I'll consider it just a bad dream. I'm not loving the slowness of the process, but I'll keep praying for patience and ability to let go and let God & others....
