Thoracentesis update
UPDATE: It is finished with no problems! The procedure is called a Thoracentesis. It reminded me of getting an epidural... I was sitting up on the side of the bed leaning over a tall table hugging a pillow. The most painful part was getting the local before it... The local also went in deeper than I'd had before. Going to the room, having, having the fluid drained, and back was approximately 20 minutes. They drained 500 mL. I pray that helps with my pain, low oxygen, and low blood pressure, issues I've had here. They just took out my oxygen to see how it goes.
I came in with some new Crocs. Each time I'm being wheeled around in the gurney, people make comments about my cute Crocs... or, if they've seen me before, they would say, "there's the cute Crocs girl.' It's nice to find something happy to think about besides all the medical stuff.
