Unplugged
First of all, thanks for all the support and prayers. Last night, as I had written about, I had crazy breakthrough pain making me have spasms and shaking. It was the first time I cried here. Of course, it started when Joel left to get dinner...Thankfully, it calmed down in time for bed and I slept relatively well. I listened to calming Christian music that have songs almost word for word from the Bible.
The surgeon came in pretty early this morning. He decided that today I was ready to take the second drainage tube out! That has already been done! Praise God! What a relief! Because that is out, later in the day, they will take out my epidural. And, six hours after that, my catheter can come out! I only have a few more check boxes to complete. There is a good chance I'll be able to come home tomorrow!! So, please keep praying it all goes smoothly... Pain management orally is important to achieve. They kept saying much of my pain was from the tube. I'm hopeful that is true. My pain is still there, but was manageable before it was removed. I haven't walked yet, so we will see when I move more.
The doctor taking out the tube called my incision a "shark bite". I'll have to use that as a story for my big scar...
